Northern Wisconsin being hit with a spring snowstorm

Posted: Updated:
MINOCQUA, Wis (WKOW) -- It sure does not seem like spring in northern Wisconsin.

It started snowing Wednesday morning and continued into tonight. Some places may get more than 10 inches when it's all done. Tourism leaders there say the snow hurts business because there's just not much to do.

"I think people, just in their minds, they're ready to move on. I know a lot of people are doing some spring cleaning, they're doing some paint projects inside because you can't really do anything outside," said Minocqua Area Chamber of Commerce member Kim Baltus.

Snowmobile trails in the area have been closed for weeks, and the snowshoes are put away. It doesn't leave many choice for outside fun.
