Waunakee man arrested after trying to start fight in Madison bar

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- A 27-year old Waunakee man is arrested after urinating on a downtown Madison bar, and trying to start a fight with bouncers.

Police responded to the Red Rock Saloon shortly after 10:30 p.m. on April 12th.

When officers arrived on the scene, the suspect, Justin Smith, was being held down by a bouncer outside the bar.

Police say Smith started kicking at the officers, and grabbed at their equipment as they attempted to get him off the ground and into a squad car.

During their investigation, officers determined Smith was found urinating in the outdoor patio of the Red Rock Saloon and when encountered by staff, immediately wanted to fight.

As he was being escorted out of the bar, he began pulling at patrons, and pushed a staff member.

The bouncers got him outside and controlled him on the ground until police arrived.

Smith was arrested and is being charged with disorderly conduct and resisting/obstructing an officer.
