Green Bay officer investigated after aggressive arrest

Posted: Updated:
GREEN BAY (WKOW) -- Cell phone video being shared on Facebook shows an arrest in Green Bay that now has police investigating an officer's actions.

In the video, a man appears to yell obscenities at a policeman, before the officer pushes the man against a car and onto the ground.  The officer also appears to punch the man.

Green Bay's police captain says they're looking at everything that took place before, during and after the incident.

Capt. Bill Galvin says, "Initially it looks like it started out as just a normal incident, a minor violation that occurred downtown that began to escalate when people were leaving the tavern, at the same time this was taking place."

The police department said three people at the scene were cited or jailed.

The professional standards division is leading the investigation.
