MADISON (WKOW) -- Police arrested 25-year-old Tyler McIntosh and 23-year-old Chelsea Schwaegerl on charges of reckless endangerment after a high-speed chase that went through Madison.

Officers say that during the chase, the two threw metal objects from their van hoping police would run over them and blow their tires.

Police say McIntosh told them he didn't stop because he didn't want to go to jail.

The van eventually crashed in the King James Way neighborhood in Fitchburg, and the suspects were arrested.
