CANBERRA, Australia (WKOW) -- Australian officials have announced they found an "object of interest" in the search for the missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.
Officials caution that it's still too early to tell if it's a real lead. Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott says they have not finished the search.
The object appears to be sheet metal with rivets. It washed up on the coast of Western Australia. Authorities believe the jet landed in the Indian Ocean, but have yet to find any evidence connected to the plane.
The flight was carrying 239 passengers when it disappeared on March 8th.
