WAUNAKEE (WKOW) -- It's a dream come true for a Waunakee man.

He introduces a robotic lawn mower and says you'll never have to mow your grass by hand again. It's called the LawnBott and it's a new design that's catching on in the United States. It's the only robotic lawn mower in the area. These devices are popular in European countries, but it's just starting to catch on in the States.

This lawn mower is programmed to run all on its own. It will only cut the grass that's long enough and needs to be cut. LawnBott owner, Cam Robinson, says this robotic lawn mower is the only one of its kind in the area.

"In the next couple of years these companies will come into the market. Right now, they're testing products in Europe and they're waiting to see what the U.S. consumer does to see how rapidly they adopt these robots," said Robinson.

This robotic lawn mower won't work in the rain. It send you a text message when it's done mowing the lawn and it's safe while your children play in the yard.
