UPDATE (WKOW) -- Rock County Sheriff Robert Spoden says 24-year-old Sambath Pal has been arrested in the connection to the Easter Sunday, hit and run deaths in Janesville.
Spoden says a 911 call came in Thursday at 9:06 a.m. alerting police to an Infiniti QX56 that was damaged and was in Park City, Illinois. The damage included the headlight and fog light as well as the front bumper.
Spoden says Park City police officers were able to find the vehicle and confirm it had damage expected in the fatal hit and run and alerted Rock County.
Park City police arrested Pal for two counts of Hit & Run Causing Death, and Pal is awaiting extradition to Rock County.
Spoden says the caller was acquainted with Pal, and wished to remain anonymous.
Authorities say 24-year-old Mitchell Vance and 18-year-old Devin Julius were killed when an SUV crossed Highway 14's center line, hit their motorcycles and drove off.
"I honor the person who called 911," Vance's friend, Cory Volkey says.
Spoden says Pal was visiting friends in the Janesville area on the day of the collision.
Spoden says at the time of the crash, there was an arrest warrant out on Pal in a Janesville theft case.
In the days before the Thursday 911 call, authorities had blanketed media in several cities, and used billboards to publicize a photo of an SUV similar to the suspect vehicle, and asked the public for help.
Spoden praised the 911 call taker's work. "911 call center did some initial questioning of this individual, and the information the 911 Center got from that individual was extremely helpful. So that was huge," Spoden says.
"Justice, justice, justice," Volkey says. "A thousand pounds off my shoulders. I haven't slept in four days."
The Wisconsin State Crime Lab in Milwaukee is processing the vehicle.
