Uecker honored with second statue at Miller Park

Posted: Updated:
MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Legendary Brewers announcer Bob Uecker is honored at Miller Park Friday afternoon.

With Mr. Baseball himself, along with many former Brewers legends on hand, the team unveiled the "Last-Row" statue, placed among the top row in section 422 -- A group of seats which were affectionately named the "Uecker Seats" for their obstructed view.

Uecker says, "It's a reward really, it's a job, I don't consider this a job, I bet everyone of you in here would love to do this stuff to be able to work here at 6: 30 for a night game and become a part of people's families."

This is the second statue honoring Uecker at Miller Park, the other can be found outside the stadium.

The Brewers also planned to honor Uecker on the field before Friday night's game against the Cubs.
