MADISON (WKOW) - The Badger softball team just refuses to lose right now. They extended their win streak to 12 games by taking two from Purdue on Friday night.

Taylor-Paige Stewart and Michelle Mueller combined to lead Wisconsin to a 2-1 victory in Game 1. Stewart threw seven strong innings. She only allowed one run on three hits for the win. Mueller provided the offensive support by driving in both Badger runs. Mueller hit a RBI double and a solo home run.

The Badgers struggled with the long ball in Game 2. Danielle Fletcher hit a three-run shot off of Cassandra Darrah to give Purdue a 5-4 lead in the fifth inning. Wisconsin responded with two runs in the sixth. Mary Massei plated the winning run by driving in Katie Christner. The Badgers won 6-5.

Wisconsin is now just one win away from tying a school record with 13 straight victories.
