Pedestrian hit in crosswalk on E. Washington Ave.

MADISON (WKOW) -- A Madison woman was hit by a car late Monday night, but will be all right.

The Madison Police Department says the 50-year-old was walking in the 600 block of East Washington Avenue near South Blount Street when a car hit her. The driver, a 74-year-old man, was charged with Failure to Yield to a Pedestrian in a Marked Crosswalk.

The woman suffered a broken arm and other non-life threatening injuries. She was admitted to a local hospital for observation.

The investigation is continuing.
