State launches redesigned web site

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- Wisconsin's primary website was re-launched this week following a redesign that includes a new mobile-friendly design and streamlined content. You can check it out here.

The new home page includes, among other things, the state's latest unemployment rate, a link to a driver's license practice test and the factoid that 2.8 billion pounds of cheese are produced annually in the state.

It also includes links to a variety of commonly accessed services, such as getting on the no-call list and obtaining a fishing license.

The typography and motifs are inspired by famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

The state Department of Administration says the site received more than 2.9 million unique visits last year and 6.1 million page views.
