Inmate faces additional charges in Grant County

Posted: Updated:
LANCASTER (WKOW) -- Late Monday night, an inmate at the Grant County Jail was requested to change cells by correctional officers.

Officers made the request due to a jail rule violation.  Timmy Johnson (25), of Dubuque, Iowa, refused to cooperate and physically resisted attempts of compliance.  Johnson was finally secured and taken into a holding cell with the assistance of other officers.

The inmate was initially being held on charges of fraud, bail jumping, motor vehicle theft, bribery, disorderly conduct, and resisting.  Johnson will now be facing a charge of resisting an officer, as well as five additional counts of bail jumping.
