MADISON (WKOW) -- Lace up your shoes and move for mental health this weekend at the third annual run/walk for Chrysalis.

The Moving for Mental Health Run/Walk was created to increase awareness of the benefits of physical health on mental wellness.

The run/walk is on Sunday, May 4 beginning at 11:00 a.m. Registration is at 10:30 a.m. at Chrysalis, located at 1342 Dewey Court in Madison.

You can run or walk the route on the Capitol City Trail. There's a 5K Run/Walk or a one-mile Fun Walk. Everyone will return to Chrysalis for celebratory snacks from local vendors. The event is stroller and pet friendly.

All proceeds will go to Chrysalis, which is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide individualized vocational and work-related services to persons in our community who have mental illnesses.

If you would like to know more about Chrysalis, check out the organization's website.
