MIDDLETON (WKOW) -- Two officers are hurt during the arrest of a suspect they say was flipping over tables and pushing customers at a Middleton restaurant.

Officers were called to the Mid-Town Pub at 2405 Allen Boulevard Wednesday evening around 6:30. Employees had refused to serve the subject more alcohol so he became upset, tipped over tables and pushed employees and customers, including two parents who were eating with their children.

The suspect left in a vehicle, but witnesses were able to give a vehicle description and license plate. Middleton police officers stopped the vehicle a short time later.

The suspect was given field sobriety tests and arrested for operating while intoxicated. While he was being arrested, the man struck an officer in the face with his head. Two officers and the suspect were injured during the arrest.

The suspect has been identified as Jeremy A. Childs, 28, of Gays Mills. He was booked into the Dane County Jail on charges of 4th Offense OWI, 2 counts of Battery, 5 counts of Disorderly Conduct, Battery to Law Enforcement Officer and Resisting an Officer - Causing Injury.
