MADISON (WKOW) -- After a seven-day jury trial, an Adams County man has been found guilty of multiple counts of child sexual assault.

At the trial of Joey Hicks, several victims testified that when they were children, Hicks sexually assaulted them.

Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen and Adams County District Attorney Tania Bonnett announced Hicks was found guilty Tuesday of nine counts of sexual assault for victimizing five children.  He was also convicted of three counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child, three counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child, incest, repeated acts of sexual assault of a child and attempted first-degree sexual assault of a child.  All the incidents occurred in 1989, 1994 and 2004-2005.  At sentencing, Hicks will face a maximum of 290 years in prison.
Juneau County Judge John Roemer presided over the trial, revoked bail and ordered a pre-sentence investigation.
