Historical site offers bike experience

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (AP) -- Cycling enthusiasts can get a glimpse of what it was like to ride in the late 19th-century at a southeastern Wisconsin historical site this summer.

Old World Wisconsin is offering new interactive cycling experience called "Catch Wheel Fever" beginning June 14th.  Visitors will get a chance to ride 1890s replica tricycles and bicycles, work in a 1890s bicycle repair shop, check out period road maps for cyclists, and learn late 19th-century bicycle songs.

Old World Wisconsin features dozens of historic buildings relocated from around the state.  The site is located just outside Eagle in southeastern Wisconsin.
