Summer parking project begins at DCRA

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- A long, potentially-frustrating construction season has begun at the Dane County Regional Airport.

They're expanding the parking ramp; building more than 1,600 new parking spaces.

But while it's being built, things will be pretty packed when it comes to parking near the terminal.

In fact, officials advise getting to the airport at least two hours ahead of your flight time, because you may have to park in the economy lot.

They'll have a free shuttle bus from there to the terminal.

The expansion will bring the DCRA's covered parking capacity to 3,489 spots.

Construction is scheduled to be finished by the end of the year.
