BELOIT (WKOW) -- Firefighters in the Town of Beloit were busy Tuesday battling a number of fires.

Fire officials say just before 10 a.m.. they were called to a grainery/shed fire on the 4000 block of Gesley Rd.

About 40 firefighters were brought in from a number of different departments to help battle the blaze.

It took them an hour to get the fire under control, but they stayed on scene all day.

Officials estimate about $20,000 damage for the structure, which was destroyed, and $150,000 damage for what was inside.

No one was hurt.

The Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation is assisting with the investigation into the cause of the fire.

While firefighters were battling that fire, another one broke out just after noon in the 3800 block of W. Bass Creek Rd.

It was a controlled fire that had gotten out of control.

About four acres of woods that was burning started creeping closer to a garage.

Officials say there were no injuries and estimate about $1,500 in damages.

Around 2:30 p.m. there was a third fire on the 1400 block of Happy Hollow Rd.

Several acres of woods burned and it took firefighters about four hours to extinguish the fire.

No property damage was reported and the cause is unknown.
