Madison paying for Elver Park fireworks show

MADISON (WKOW) -- Elver Park will host a fireworks show this July after all.

Private funding for the event was lost with the move of Rhythm and Booms from Warner Park to Lake Monona.
   
But the city of Madison announced it would pay $20,000 for this years show.
   
However, alders and neighbors will need to find new sponsors to pay for future shows.
   
The Elver Park fireworks are scheduled for Thursday, July third

While the Rhythm and Booms fireworks show is set for Saturday, June 28th.
