WESTON (WKOW) -- A13-year-old boy from central Wisconsin is safe after he was rescued from a muddy hole, but he only got stuck because he was trying to save his brother.

Officials say the boy was buried to his knees and was sinking when they arrived.

They were able to save the boy within fifteen minutes.  Weston police say the boy is okay.

Our affiliate, WAOW, reports the hole is from utility crews working in the area who say they'll fix the hole Thursday.
