SAUK PRAIRIE (WKOW) -- A local baseball coach was cited for driving under the influence, while on his way to game.

The Sauk Prairie Police Department received information of a possible intoxicated driver traveling on U.S. Hwy 12 on May 6.

Authorities found the vehicle traveling southbound on Hwy 12 at Sycamore Street in Sauk City. When police safely pulled the driver over, he informed officers he was a baseball coach traveling to Lodi for a baseball game. Officers continued to speak with the driver and observed signs of intoxication.

36-year-old Andrew Cowley was charged with open intoxicants and OWI second offense.

Wisconsin Heights' schedule notes it did play a game at Lodi that night, and the web site, Wisconsin All-Start Baseball lists Wisconsin Heights Head Coach as Andy Cowley.
