MADISON (WKOW) -- A Madison man was injured during an early Sunday morning shooting in a parking lot on East Washington Avenue.
According to the Madison Police Department, officers went to the area of 701 E. Washington Ave. at 12:59 a.m. after reports of shots being fired. During the preliminary investigation, officials found that shots were exchanged between parties who were in the parking lot next to the address. Officers found empty casings at the scene.
A short time later, police learned that there was a victim at a local emergency room. The victim, a 31-year-old black man, had a gunshot wound to the lower extremities. It was not believed to be life threatening. Police described the suspects as three black men who wearing dark jeans and were armed with handguns.
