UPDATE: Janesville police say missing man has been found

UPDATE (WKOW) --- Janesville Police say Gerald Hockensmith has been located in northern Wisconsin.  A security camera at a bank captured Hockensmith on camera.  Police say they not yet been able to contact him, but do have proof he is alive and well up north.


JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- Police are seeking help in their search for a man who was last seen May 1.

According to the Janesville Police Department, Gerald Hockensmith was belatedly reported missing on May 7th. He was last seen at his apartment at 120 N. River St. on May 1 and may have been seen May 8th near Five Points Liquor Store.

Police say Hockensmith travels primarily on foot. He is known to frequent convenience and liquor stores. Hockensmith was last seen wearing a black pullover hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and white tennis shoes. He weights 250 pounds, and is six-feet tall. Police ask that anyone who has contact with him to please call the department at 608-755-3100.
