Wildfires destroy homes in Texas

Posted: Updated:
FRITCH, Texas (WKOW) -- CNN reports at least 700 people amongst three communities have been forced to evacuate in the Texas Panhandle after a wild fire destroyed dozens of homes.

Officials say more than 100 homes have been lost and up to 1,200 others are in danger.

The fire chief in Fritch says the entire town is at risk.

The fire started Sunday.  Residents went to a local school and church to get aid from The Red Cross.

So far, officials are not sure what caused the fire.
