Middleton Police Dept. to honor fallen officers with documentary screening

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- It's national police week; a time to honor the memory of law enforcement officers who lost their lives in the line of duty.

Next Monday, the Middleton Police Department is presenting a movie to remember those fallen officers. The department partnered with Modern City Entertainment to show "Heroes Behind The Badge: Sacrifice & Survival." It's a full-length documentary film featuring the stories of fallen officers and those who have been critically injured in the line of duty but have survived against all odds.

The film will be shown at the Middleton Performing Arts Center, located at 2100 Bristol Street in Middleton at 7:00 p.m. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

The event is open to the public. Advance tickets are available for a donation of $15 here. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $20.

Proceeds from the event, as well as any tax-deductible donations made during this event, will be given to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund and the Wisconsin Concerns of Police Survivors.

Officer Jill Tutaj, with the Middleton Police Department, joined us on 27 News at 5 on Tuesday.
