Bike to Work Week

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- It's national "Ride Your Bike to Work Week."

Across Wisconsin, there are events planned daily.

It's hosted by the Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin.

Community leaders participating this week say it's about building on a long tradition here in Madison.

Dave Cieslewicz, former Madison Mayor, and current Director of the Wisconsin Bike Federation says, "The idea is to get people back on their bikes after a long cold winter and re-introduce themselves to the fun and good exercise of biking to work"

Cieslewicz says their goal is to make Madison one of the best bike cities in the country.
