Wisconsin homes sales down for four straight months

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- New numbers show home sales in Wisconsin dropped by 9% in April, compared to April 2013 making the fourth consecutive month home sales have dropped compared to the previous year.

The Wisconsin Realtors Association says unusually cold weather in February and March played a role in the dip in sales, as well as rising interest rates and home prices.

One economist told the La Crosse Tribune another factor in the home sales slump could be a tightening inventory of homes on the market.
