MADISON (WKOW) -- One thousand middle school students traveled to Pagel's Ponderosa Dairy in Kewaunee to learn about potential careers in agriculture.
Pagel's Ponderosa hosted the 2014 Ag Career Days with 32 of the more than 200 different careers in agriculture.
Kristy Pagel of the Kewaunee Cty. Econ. Dev. Corp says "We know that in order to maintain the strong infrastructure that we have in agriculture that we need to make sure our youth knows about all the different careers that agriculture offers today."
Students were able to learn about careers in marketing, cheese distribution, agronomy, finance, cow care, and machine maintenance and drone technology.
It's a day for students to learn and prepare for their future as well as a day for the Pagel's to make an impact on the future of Wisconsin's $26.5 billion dairy industry.
