NASA releases "Global Selfie" image

Posted: Updated:
WASHINGTON D.C. (WKOW) -- On Earth Day back in April, NASA asked people around the world to answer the question "Where are you on Earth right now?"

They asked people to answer by taking a selfie and sending it through social media.

NASA says the goal was to use each picture as a pixel in the creation of a "Global Selfie."

The mosaic image would look like Earth on that day.

NASA released the finished product Thursday.
