The Seagulls scored first after a walk, fielder's choice and two-out double to right field to take an early 1-0 lead. That was all Salisbury would need in the game.

SU added four runs in the bottom of the third bolstered by a three-run homerun.

Despite the final score, the game was close on paper with Salisbury out-hitting the Warhawks by just one, 6-5. Each team left five runners on base but Seagull pitcher Rachel Johnson registered ten strikeouts to hold the Whitewater batters at bay.

Mimi Ramirez and Laura Eichenold led the Warhawk offense with two hits apiece. Amy Ricci tallied Whitewater's fifth hit of the game. Kelynn Sporer recorded the loss to fall to 18-6 on the mound this season.

The Warhawks will face East Texas Baptist, who eliminated Trine in an 11-3 five inning rout earlier Friday.
