Randolph man arrested for 6th OWI

Posted: Updated:

DODGE COUNTY (WKOW) -- Officials arrested a Randolph man for sixth offense drunken driving Friday night in Dodge County.

The Wisconsin State Patrol Deforest Post says a trooper first attempted to stop Gerald L. Miller, 49, on County Highway A at Howard Road in Dodge County at about 6:48 p.m. after seeing that Miller was not wearing a seat belt. According to authorities, Miller didn't immediately stop, but instead increased the speed of his vehicle. The trooper also saw Miller drinking a beer as he tried to stop him.

Eventually, Miller stopped and took field sobriety tests, after which he was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Officials revoked Miller’s driver’s license after determining that he had five previous OWI convictions.
