WHITEWATER (WKOW)-- The UW Whitewater boys baseball team returned home Tuesday evening as national champions.

Whitewater is the first school in NCAA history to win all three championships in one year. There were some diehard Warhawk fans at the welcome home ceremony. Some who traveled with the team all season.
"I think the community will be excited because this is fantastic to be a trifecta- wow," said Warhawk fan Jean Bromley. "Nobody else has done it."
The team took their victory lap around town and showed off their trophy to family and fans.
"As soon as Basketball won, my phone blew up with text after text saying it's time for us to win," said coach John Vodenlich. "I don't know if pressure is the right word but everyone knew that's what we wanted."
"We're a family, it's basically a second family," said pitcher Scott Plaza. "I'm with the guys all the time and I wouldn't want to win it with any other group of guys."
