Deer hunting change approved

Posted: Updated:
WISCONSIN (WKOW) -- Deer hunting is going to change in much of northern Wisconsin for the 2014 season.

The State Natural Resources Board approved a recommendation that requires buck-only hunting in all or part of 19 counties and four reservations.

Hunters in those areas won't be able to take an antlerless deer. The idea is to allow the deer population to recover in that part of the state.
