Police target drug trafficking and gang activity in Rock Co.
JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- On Thursday, multiple agencies worked together in a criminal traffic interdiction to target drug trafficking and gang activity.
The Janesville Police Department, the Rock County Sheriff's Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, Wisconsin Department of Corrections Probation Agents, and Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigation were working on May 29th between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. This resulted in 93 traffic stops.
44 citations were issued. 11 arrests were made for drug-related offenses. There were seven criminal arrests and 12 probation or parole contacts. Six probationers held in jail. 17 people were arrested on outstanding warrants. There was a total of 16 K-9 deployments.
