Memorial forms at site of death investigation

Posted: Updated:

WATERTOWN (WKOW)-- A day after police discovered a body in a parking lot in Watertown, a memorial is forming for the person who died.

Flowers, a wreath, even a teddy bear placed at the old Pick-N-Save lot in Watertown. It's the scene where police discovered a deceased person on Friday.

The individual was found in a car and attempts to revive them were unsuccessful. Details are still scarce and authorities have not release the name or cause of death.

But the investigation coincides with the search for 28-year-old Heather Stewart. The mother of four was reported missing Friday after she failed to show up for work.

Police have not said if the death and the missing person case are related.

But Saturday, a friend of Stewart’s told 27 news that it other friends of the missing woman who created the makeshift memorial.

We're still waiting for the results of an autopsy on the deceased person. Police did not release any new information Saturday.
