RACINE (AP) -- Racine police have released the name of the customer who was shot and killed during an early-morning robbery at a tavern.
Police say the man was 47-year-old Joseph D. Walker of Racine. He was killed Saturday about 1:30 a.m. at the American Legion tavern.
Police are still looking for the two robbery suspects. They're described as men between the ages of 20 and 30.
The bar is across the street from the Family Fellowship Church. Pastor Scott Miller asks that anyone with information on the shooting come forward. He tells The Journal Times of Racine that people seem willing to march for peace and call for an end to gun violence, but they also need to be willing to step up and actually help catch the culprits.
Evangelist Franklin Graham prayed on a sidewalk outside the Pentagon Thursday after his invitation to a prayer service inside was withdrawn because of comments that insulted people of other religions. More>>
