Students shave heads for St. Baldrick's

Posted: Updated:
STOUGHTON (WKOW) -- Some area middle school students shaved their heads for a good cause on Thursday.

13 students from River Bluff Middle School in Stoughton got their new hair-dos at lunch time to donate wigs for Saint Baldrick's, and to spread cancer awareness.

The event was organized by eighth grader Colette Vitiritti, who got the idea from her cousin.
Colette says, "My cousin did it at her school and she was one of two girls that shaved their head and there was lots of boys that shaved their heads and girls that cut off their pony tails, but she was one of two that only shaved their head."

The students at Colette's school have raised over $1,500 dollars so far for St. Baldrick's.
