93-year-old D-Day veteran jumps again into Normandy

Posted: Updated:
NORMANDY (WKOW) -- A 93-year-old veteran who parachuted into Normandy on D-Day 70 years ago wanted to take the leap one more time.

Jim "Pee Wee" Martin is a former paratrooper.  He went on a C-47, which is not so different than the one he boarded in England almost exactly 70 years ago to the hour.

Like other D-Day veterans from the 101st Airborne, Martin parachuted into Normandy on a dark night with enemy soldiers shooting up at him.  This time, it was a jump to commemorate all those who parachuted into Normandy on that historic day.

To see Martin's jump, watch the video above.
