Roads back open after suspicious device scare in downtown

MADISON (WKOW) --- Madison Police say the roads are now back open.   The cylinder found was not a concern.  Police tell 27 News the object was a cotter pin from a truck.

MADISON (WKOW) --- Madison Police say they have blocked off the area of Fairchild and West Washington for a suspicious cylinder.

A passerby found the object and called it in to police just before 1 p.m.

The bomb squad is on the way.

The area is closed to the public.
