UW and Wisconsin Technical College System strike Universal Transfer Agreement

Posted: Updated:
MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Leaders of Wisconsin's two public higher education systems signed an historic agreement Friday that essentially makes a four year degree more affordable to more people.

The "Universal Transfer Agreement" allows certain core courses to transfer and satisfy general degree requirements between each system's schools, so that students can take certain classes at more affordable tech school prices and use them towards a four year degree.

UW system President Ray Cross and Wisconsin Technical College system President Morna Foy signed the agreement following Friday's UW Board of Regents meeting.
