Dane County Humane Society welcomes public at annual Bark & Wine

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- Dane County Humane Society hosted its annual Bark and Wine event to show off the shelter.

The 12th annual event held at the main shelter featured food and wine and also a silent auction with items from local businesses.

Spokesperson Gayle Viney tells 27 News Bark and Wine is a great way to showcase what's going on at DCHS.

"This was a great way to have people come in and see what we do here and sometimes people are unsure of what the humane society is like inside, and so this is wonderful way for people to come in and have a great evening and also see what the shelter looks like," says Viney.

People could also see what animals are currently available for adoption. Several hundred people were expected at the event.
