MADISON (WKOW) -- Golfers of all ages and skill levels had a chance to work on their game Saturday.

Avid golfers and people new to the sport got free lessons from PGA professionals at Vitense Golfland.

The Wisconsin Chapter of the PGA of America hosted "Play Golf Wisconsin Day" to promote the sport.

"We like to promote the game of golf and really introduce it as a wonderful sport that anyone can experience. It's a great social sport and great oppurtunity to spend time with family and friends," said PGA pro Joel Weitz.

Play Golf Wisconsin is part of a national effort to promote golfing. The Wisconsin Chapter of America also has three other locations in the state.
