Driver arrested in Janesville for 4th OWI

Posted: Updated:
JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- Police in Janesville say they arrested a man for his fourth OWI offense within five years.

This started when one officer noticed a Land Rover near the intersection of Princeton Rd. and Brunswick Ln. that was weaving in and out of its traffic lane, had an expired registration and a broken tail lamp.

The officer pulled over the SUV. The Janesville Police Department says the officer noticed the driver had intoxicants on his breath along with glossy, bloodshot eyes. Police say the driver, Jason Biever, also admitted to drinking five or six beers prior to driving.  Officers say Biever failed sobriety testing and had a blood alcohol content of 0.17 on the intoximeter.

Police say Biever had three prior OWI convictions and that he was driving outside of the hours of his occupational license.

Biever was arrested and is being held at the Rock County Jail.
