Attic Sale being held this weekend

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- It's billed as Dane County's largest two day re-sale, and it's happening this weekend.

The Attic Sale, benefiting the Attic Angel Association, is this Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at High Point Church, located at 7702 Old Sauk Road.

The sale features more than 5000 items donated from homes of Attic Angel volunteers and friends. The items include antiques, fine furniture, artwork, home essentials, sporting goods, jewelry, children's toys and more.

On Friday, there is an admission fee of $10 until noon, but there's no entrance fee for the duration of the sale that day and Saturday. Price reductions swill begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, with a bag sale from noon to 1 p.m. in the home essentials and treasures department. Items that fit in a standard sized grocery bag are sold for $5 a bag.

A  majority of the funds raised will help support school and community programs that provide mental health services for adolescents and teens in Dane County.

Over the last 30 years, the Attic Angel Association has contributed more than $6 million to 140 nonprofits in Dane County, serving children and older adults
