Train hits, kills two people

MAUSTON (WKOW) -- Two people were hit and killed by a train early Saturday morning.

According to the Mauston Police Department, the Canadian Pacific Railway contacted the Juneau County Sheriff's Office at 12:03 a.m. saying that a train had struck two people standing on the railroad tracks. The names of the victims are being withheld pending identification and notification of family. The investigation is ongoing.
