Downtown Madison celebrates SummerPalooza

Posted: Updated:

MADISON (WKOW) -- The annual SummerPalooza invites families to the Capitol Square in Madison to celebrate the start of summer.

SummerPalooza is a family-friendly event full of live concerts, a parade and visits to Madison Children's Museum. SummerPalooza is focused on helping people enjoy the downtown Madison experience.

"SummerPalooza was created to get families from all over the region to come and be downtown, enjoy the Farmer's Market and be part of the parade in a safe, friendly way and strengthen their family bonds and learn about what is downtown Madison," says Madison Children's Museum Executive Director Debbie Gilpin.

SummerPalooza is put on by Rotary Club of Madison and the children's museum. The event started last year to mark the 100th anniversary of the Rotary Club.
