UPDATE: Tornado Watch for several counties until 9 a.m.

UPDATE (WKOW) -- The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for Jefferson, Rock and Walworth counties until 9 a.m. Tuesday.

UPDATE (WKOW) -- The Tornado Warning for Dane County has been canceled, but a Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect until 1:45 a.m. for Columbia, Dane, Dodge and Jefferson counties.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect in Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Green, Green Lake, Iowa, Jefferson, Lafayette, Marquette, Rock, Sauk and Walworth counties until 3 a.m.

UPDATE (WKOW) -- A Tornado Warning is in effect in Dane County until 12:45 a.m.

UPDATE (WKOW) -- Storm watches and warnings are in effect for much of the 27 News viewing area.
 
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect in Dane, Green, Iowa and Lafayette and Sauk counties until around 12:15 a.m.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect in Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Green, Green Lake, Iowa, Jefferson, Lafayette, Marquette, Rock, Sauk and Walworth counties until 3 a.m.

The Tornado Watch that was in effect for Crawford, Grant, Richland and Vernon counties has been canceled.

UPDATE (WKOW) -- The Tornado Watch continues for several counties in the 27 News viewing area.

It applies to Crawford, Grant, Richland, and Vernon County in WI until 1:00am.

The storms moving through the Midwest killed one person and critically hurt 16 others as they swept through northeast Nebraska.

At least two tornadoes touched down in northeast Nebraska. The National Weather Service says the twisters were about a mile apart, near the towns of Stanton and Pilger, about 100 miles northwest of Omaha. The tornadoes did not hit Stanton, but caused extensive damage in Pilger.

MADISON (WKOW) --- A Tornado Watch has been issued for Crawford, Grant, Richland, and Vernon County in WI until 1:00am.
