Two people injured under E. Washington Ave. bridge

Posted: Updated:

MADISON (WKOW) -- An ongoing dispute among two Madison women leaves one with cuts on her body.

The 35-year-old victim states she was attacked with an eyebrow archer as she was bunking beneath an E. Washington Avenue bridge Tuesday night.  That area under the bridge is where several homeless people sleep.

The woman received minor cuts to her arm, hand and head.  Madison Fire Department paramedics treated her on the scene.

The victim states the other woman was in the company of a man, who took off with her backpack.  She states her clothing was inside the bag.  She went on to tell police that man punched her 24-year-old male friend in the mouth.

The assailants have not been located.
