MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police were called to a large disturbance outside an apartment building on Russett Road Tuesday night.

Witnesses told officers a large group of women showed up to fight another woman who was inside the building.  Officers reported up to 50 people in the street and standing in nearby grassy areas.

The woman looking to fight, 19-year-old Nanyamka James, was arrested for disorderly conduct.  The woman inside, 49-year-old Sherrye Hardick Tate, was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed, as she grabbed a baseball bat and was ordering the women to leave.

Officers say there is an ongoing dispute between some of the women.
