KEWASKUM, Wis. (AP) -- Two teenagers have died in a collision with a sheriff's deputy in Washington County.

The crash happened about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in Kewaskum. WISN-TV reports the deputy suffered minor injuries, but the two teens in the other car were killed.

The Wisconsin State Patrol says a teen driving a 2004 Ford Taurus, lost control of the car and hit the deputy's squad car head-on.

The deputy was taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The State Patrol says heavy rain and wet pavement may have been factors in the crash. The patrol is investigating.

Names of the teenagers were not immediately released.
